Cal 45, Tennessee 31

My California Golden Bears avenged last year's season-opening loss to Tennessee by trashing them 45-31 yesterday in Berkeley. In the game, DeSean Jackson had this insane 77 yard punt return, where he repeatedly juked his way free in a series of moves on the way to the end zone. And despite Brent Musberger's atrocious call ("Shake and bake!"), I could watch this video over and over again.

And in fact, I have.

Jackson has some serious moves. I'm an SEC fan, though, so not ecstatic about the outcome.

The highlight of the day: App State v. Michigan. Unbelievable.

Jackson is insane. He basically returns a punt for a TD every 5 times he touches the ball. It's a wonder that anyone ever punts to him any more.

I watched the last 2 minutes of the App State v. Michigan game on YouTube and was still amazed at the outcome. I bet it was awesome to watch in person (unless you're a Michigan alum, of course).

My Aggies won last weekend but my brother, who watched the game at Kyle Field, said the score made the Aggies seem much more dominant than they really were.

::sigh::
